A Bank officer Shri Janakiram, basically from Andra Pradesh, residing at Mangaluru fulfilled his 60th Birth anniversary performing Poojas and Havanas in the “Divine Sannidhi” of God Shri Gopalakrishna on 22nd and 23rd May 2019.
‘Shashtipoorthy’ or ‘ Shashtyabdhy’ is a traditional ritual of Hindus, by performing it longevity and good health (Ayusha, Arogya) can be increased is a belief and fact. This performance is also called ‘Ugraratha Shaanthi’ After the age of sixty years naturally it is likely to get old age and it is essentially needed to maintain improve the health condition physically and mentally. This is time to prey the God Mrithyunjaya Rudra to give good health, long live and prosperity.
There are series of Poojas and Havanas are prescribed in ancient ‘Shasthras’. During this ritual Puniyahavachana, Kalasha Sthapana, Navagraha, Brahma, Vishnu, Rudra, Mrithyunjaya poojas and havanas, Kalashasnana etc. are performed. The whole ritual is concluded by ‘Kalyana Mahothsava’ of the performing couples.
The Temple is providing facilities for such programs, and also for Poojas like Shri Sathyanarayana Pooja, Shiva Pooja Durga Pooja, Ganapathy Havana, Navagraha Havana, Sandhi Shaanthi Havanas, Santhana Gopala Havana, Swayamvara Parvathy Havana etc. and many more such rituals.
